About ACE

ACE is a student group at the Allen School that focuses on building a community for students interested in the field of computing education.

We provide resources and events to help students connect with TA opportunities, academia, and other computing education communities in the University of Washington. Our club is open to all UW students, but based in the Allen School for Computer Science & Engineering. Anyone interested in becoming a member can fill out our membership form to subscribe to the mailing list and stay up-to-date with our upcoming events!

Our Pillars

The foundation of ACE

ACE's mission is to promote computer science education, research, and outreach. We aim to achieve this mission through three pillars:

Community

Foster a bigger community for current and prospective computing TAs across different computing courses at the Allen School.

CS Pedagogy

Offer a platform for students and TAs to discuss and practice teaching computing subjects in a more effective and equitable manner.

Research

Offer opportunities for students to explore the field of computing education research.
